Ronald Keith Ellefson was born on February 16th, 1952. He passed away unexpectedly on March 18th, 2013, at the age of 61. Ron was incredibly smart, curious, and mechanical. He was fixing broken radios and things as a pastime even as a very young boy. This sometimes got him in trouble like the time he added a small motor to his Mother’s precious antique spinning wheel! Ron was one in a million. His private nature did not stop him from building incredible and everlasting friendships. Ron was blessed with many personal best friends, many from his school years that continued on through his adult life. His love for his family was boundless and fierce. He believed you are never too old for hugs and you should say what you feel. Those in his life were accepted fully and he treasured being able to share any “teachable moment.”

His two sons, Jason and Jon, were his biggest accomplishment. In their youth, he learned how to fly so they could share more time in their lives. Ron was born and raised in Aberdeen, Washington and graduated High School in 1970. He had an unquenchable thirst for knowledge and he felt strongly that “you cannot teach a man anything, but simply expose him to the knowledge.” He started his career at Bigelow Chevrolet and with his natural mechanical ability, he was proud to become known as Master Chevrolet Mechanic. He worked his way to Bay City Heating and alongside his father; the two installed, repaired, and replaced furnaces and boilers. He presented wisdom in this area long after retirement.
