Judy Mathison, 70, of Montesano, passed away Nov. 16, 2015, at her daughter’s home after a year-long struggle with cancer. Judy was born Dec. 30, 1944, in Hibbing, Minn. She grew up on the family farm in Northern Minnesota. Judy married Vern Mathison and they moved to Washington in 1967. Judy was a devoted wife and mother, always there for her family and friends. One of her greatest joys was the birth of her grandchildren; participating in their lives and watching them grow to adults.

Justin Case Yakovich, 33, passed away on Nov. 7, 2015. He was born in Olympia, Wash., to his loving parents George and Connie Yakovich. He was the baby brother to George Jr. Yakovich, Craig Yakovich and Jonathon Jasper. His first loves were his five nieces and one nephew. Later, he shared that love with his new wife Samantha Yakovich and their 7-month-old daughter Adia Sue. While Justin grew up in Central Park, Wash., and resided in San Diego for the past year — he always called Newport Beach, Calif., his home.

She grew up on a farm on North River, attended school there and graduated from North River High School. On July 22, 1961, she married her high school sweetheart, Russell E. Johnson. They had two sons.
