1928 - 2013
Barbara was born on March 31, 1928, to Ottis and Nanna Floyd in Savannah, Georgia. She passed away peacefully at St. Peters Hospital in Olympia, Washington on July 31, 2013. She was 85.
After graduating high school she married Robert Asbury on May 5, 1952. They then made their home in Fort Richardson, Alaska and Michael, Robert and Nancy were brought into their life. After her husband was discharged from the U.S. Army, Barbara and family resided in Seattle and Ralph became the newest addition to the family. In Seattle the family made a whole host of lifelong friends. Moving to the Grays Harbor area in 1962, to be closer to relatives Barbara felt at home. She gave birth to Barbara Ann and the family was complete.
