Frances Belle “Frannie” Pedersen, a 33-year Harbor resident, passed away on July 20, 2013, at her home in Elma. She was 83. Frannie was born on January 2, 1930, in Henryetta, Oklahoma, where she lived until moving to Aberdeen at the age of 3. In addition to Henryetta and Aberdeen, she also resided in Port Angeles for a time.
In her early years she was a waitress in Port Angeles and then worked in the kitchen at Olympic Memorial Hospital. Frannie attended college in Seattle, and was also a governess in Seattle while at college. Frannie was later an in-home caregiver in Elma. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening, paper quilling and painting. She belonged to a rock club, garden club, grandmothers club and the Grange. Frannie opened her home and her heart to local kids on Sunday, fed them lunch and did a craft. She was also involved in women’s Bible outreach and her church, Grace Community Church.
