Maxine Blanchard Wheeler, 88 years of age and a longtime Harborite, died on Sunday, May 12, 2013, at Montesano Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born on March 3, 1925, in Montesano, Washington, to Leland and Katie (Augee) Blanchard.
She was raised in Montesano and attended school in Montesano and Hoquiam. Following her high school graduation she worked at the Acme Door Plant and the U.S. Weather Bureau both located in Hoquiam. She had also been a waitress for several years.
