Mary Kathleen Walker passed away on March 30, 2013, at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, Washington. She was born in Hoquiam, Washington on January 16, 1927, the daughter of Lysle Patrick and Esther Elizabeth Havens. Mary Kathleen, who was known as Kathleen, was raised in Montesano, graduating from Montesano High School in 1945. She studied at St. Peter’s School of Nursing in Olympia and graduated as a Registered Nurse in 1948.
Kathleen met her future husband Gerald Walker of Elma and they were married in Montesano on November 27, 1948. He survives her at their home at Channel Point Village, Hoquiam, where they moved one year ago after enjoying 62 years of residence in Montesano.
