Kenneth Lillybridge, 94, passed away on March 21, 2013. He went peacefully, with family beside him. Kenneth was born in Colville, Washington on September 14, 1918, one of ten siblings, all who preceded him in death. He had enlisted in the Navy and served for 13 years, fighting in World War II as a chief for 6 years. He earned the Medal of Honor and the Bronze Star among many others. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and a member of the NRA. He started Logger’s Playday, serving as chairman in 1976, and staying with it until he retired in 1980.
In 1947, Kenneth married Lorraine Kitchel and they had a daughter, Claudia. He had built the house of his dreams on Duck Lake in Ocean Shores, living there for 23 years before moving to Olympia with his wife and daughter in 2003. He is survived by his wife; daughter; 6 grandchildren, April Adams, Tomalene Brown, Angie Downes, Brandon Ford, Justin Ford and Craig Moore; and 8 great-grandchildren.
