Longtime educator and resident of the Harbor, Patricia Ann Bowers Graham Workman died at Pacific Care Center in Hoquiam on Monday, March 18, 2013. She was 91. She was born in Bemidji, Beltrami County, Minnesota on July 27, 1921, the daughter of James LeRoy and Marjorie Wright (Steidel) Bowers.
The family lived at Hibbing, Minn. and in 1923 went to California in a “tin-lizzy” to seek a new life. They returned to the Steidel and Bowers family farms at Bemidji in 1924. Her fondest childhood memories centered on living on the Bowers dairy farm with her family.
