LaPriel J. Jones passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2013, at home, surrounded by her family.
LaPriel was born August 20, 1927, in Soda Springs, Idaho, to Maylan and Edna Lakey. As soon as she was old enough, she worked next to the men delivering sheep, milking cows by hand and working in the fields. She also helped her mom cook for all the ranch hands and family during harvest time on the family ranch at Eight Mile. She often talked about how brutal the winters were and how hard everyone had to work.
