With her loving husband, Chris, and adoring sons Colby and Chanse, mother, Dianne and brother; Michael at her side Carolynne Gilbert took her rightful place in Heaven on February 7, 2013. It was eight years and 5 days since her first breast cancer diagnosis. She never lost hope and never stopped fighting. She has shown rare and amazing strength, courage and determination.
Born October 12, 1971, to her loving mother Dianne Harner. Carolynne was raised in Montesano, Wash. She attended Montesano High School where she began her running career. She attended North Idaho Junior College (NIC) on a running scholarship where she met her beloved husband, Christopher Gilbert. After completing her freshman year at NIC Carolynne and Chris continued their running careers at the University of Portland where Carolynne earned her Teaching Degree.
