Joscelyn Ayer Hallam, 84, a resident of the Harbor for 58 years, died at Karr House in Hoquiam on Wednesday, January 16, 2013. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on December 9, 1928, the daughter of Edwin and Laura (Griffiths) Ayer. She lived in Ohio, California and Illinois. She received a bachelors degree in English from the University of Bowling Green and had been a member of Alpha Phi Sorority.
She had been a civilian employee of the military in Alaska during World War II and later came to the Harbor in 1955. She married Jerrold Knight Hallam in Aberdeen on July 15, 1958. He had been a lawyer and a city judge. He died here in 1988.
