Betty M. Graham, a lifelong Grays Harbor resident, passed away on January 12, 2013, at Grays Harbor Community Hospital at the age of 98. Betty was born in Aberdeen to Joel and Anna Backa on December 3, 1914. She attended schools in Aberdeen and graduated from Weatherwax High School in 1932. She then attended and graduated from Triple Cities Institute.
Betty married Leslie Graham on March 24, 1945. Leslie passed away in 1985. Betty and her husband loved to travel and visited many states. Betty was also a member of the Rho Master Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She worked for many years at Rayonier Inc. (Grays Harbor Paper), retiring in 1971.
