Gertrude Paula Litera (Trude) was born October 13, 1923, in Vienna Wien, Austria to parents Maria and Friedrich Pitlicek. She passed away peacefully on January 5, 2013, surrounded by close friends. She lived and loved life to the fullest and was an independent spirit that made friends easily.
Trude was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Litera. In their 20’s the couple moved from Europe to Brazil. Trude had a love for fashion and designed ladies clothing in her early years and had a talent for sketching. Years later the couple made their way to the U.S. and resided on the east coast and were employed by a prominent family (House of Morgan) as their personal staff. They followed the family to Vancouver B.C. and eventually the couple moved to Grayland, Washingtion. They purchased the Ocean Spray Motel and operated it for years. In the 80’s they sold the Motel and moved into Aberdeen.
