Kristina Dale, 91, passed away Saturday, July 16, 2016, surrounded by family. She was born Jan. 10, 1925, in Saskatchewan, Canada, to Norwegian immigrants, William and Kristina Roen. Since her mother died days after her birth, her father returned to Norway with his four little girls to be with family. After 3½ years he moved back to his farm in Canada with the three older girls and left Kristina with relatives. She was raised in Samnanger, Norway, by her aunt and uncle. Her three older cousins became siblings.
