Dorothy Smith passed away peacefully on June 12, 2016, in Olympia, Wash. Dorothy was born in Jamestown, Kan. on Oct. 12, 1923, to her parents James Franklin Allen and Esther Augusta Allen (Holton). She went to school in Jamestown, Kan. until her graduation from high school, and worked at a creamery for a time while rooming with friends.
