Ella Mae Lathrop Daly, age 85, a resident of Aberdeen, died on Tuesday, November 20, 2012, in Aberdeen, Washington. Ella Mae was born on August 15, 1927, in Grants Pass, Oregon to Ray E. and Carrie M. (Fullerton) Lathrop and was raised there on Sunnybrook Farm. She graduated from Grants Pass High School in 1945 and attended Linnfield College in McMinnville, Oregon, graduating in 1949.
On September 17, 1949, she and John F. Daly were married in Grants Pass, Oregon. In 1958, the couple moved to the Harbor where John was a periodontist. She was the bookkeeper for John’s dental practice until his death on May 8, 1979, and then she worked for Aberdeen Federal Savings & Loan until her retirement in 1991.
