EvaJean A. Shamley, a longtime Grays Harbor resident died Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at the Montesano Health & Rehab Center, she was 67. Eva was born June 29, 1945 in Raymond, WA to Donald L. and Ione B. (Gillogly) Shamley. She was raised in and attended school in Raymond.
She worked for more than 30 years at Grays Harbor County, ending her career as Grays Harbor County Assessor. Eva spent a lot of time in Olympia lobbying for benefits for retired people. She was an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
