James W. Sibon

James W. Sibon, 79, of Bremerton, Wash. passed away on Jan. 6, 2016. Jim was born on Nov. 4, 1936 in Bremerton to Joe and Ethel (Surber) Sibon. A graduate of Bremerton High School, Jim went on to also graduate from Grays Harbor College. He served honorably in the U.S. Air Force from 1954-1958 and was stationed at Margate Air Force Base in England for a time. Jim married Pat Riddell on July 31, 1967 in Olympia, Wash. After his service, Jim worked for the Washington State Department of Fish & Wildlife and DSHS, retiring after 25 years. Jim, with his wife Pat, established an oil business, and sold this venture after a 5 year period. Jim was a proud member of the Lions, Masons, and Peninsula Bible Fellowship, who also loved to hunt, fish and grow dahlias. He is preceded in death by his parents. Jim’s memory will live on with his loving wife of 48 years, Pat; sons, Larry Sibon and Ron Pannell; daughters, Cheryl Baily and Margaret Taylor; brother, Richard Sibon; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Services will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Peninsula Bible Fellowship of Bremerton. Arrangements entrusted to Lewis Funeral Chapel.
