Karen Marie Johnson (Vessey) passed away Oct. 10, 2015 in her Aberdeen, Wash. home, surrounded by family. Karen was always vivacious and loved life. When she was younger she enjoyed tournament bowling, pool and darts. As her family grew, her interests turned to gardening, crafts and cooking. She loved her work, caring for Alzheimer’s patients and making sure each one felt like family. She and her husband, Doug, spent 30 wonderful years traveling through life together, always on the lookout for yard sale treasures. She will be eternally loved and missed by her children, grandchildren, husband and many friends and family. An informal potluck will be held at the Aberdeen Elks Lodge on Saturday, Nov. 7, from 12 noon to 3 p.m. and all are welcome to share in her memory.
