Samuel Gentile, 91, a lifetime resident of Aberdeen, died at his home in Central Park Sunday, June 21, 2015. He was born in Aberdeen, June 9, 1924, the son of Frank and Devine (Cosenza) Gentile. He attended Aberdeen Schools and started work in the mills of Aberdeen. In 1943 he joined the Army and fought in the Philippines and New Guinea in World War II before he was discharged at the end of the war.
