Anthony F. Daniewicz died peacefully in his sleep on April 7, 2015. He was born in Minneapolis, Minn., on March 24, 1927. He lived there until he joined the WWII effort after his high school graduation. He served in the U.S.Navy on an aircraft carrier in the Pacific. He met the love of his life, Lynn, at a USO club in Seattle while on leave. After his service he returned to Minnesota to attend college on the GI bill. Tony and Lynn were married in 1948. Tony graduated from St. Cloud Teachers College in August of 1949 and taught in Tracy, Minn. for two years. They moved to Washington where Tony touched the lives of many students through his 30 years at Ocosta High. He taught math, drama and audio-visual where he challenged each student to do and be their best. Tony had a passion for drama and helped found the Driftwood Players where he was an active actor, director and supporter. Tony and his family staged a summer melodrama at Cohassett Beach and in Ocean Shores for several years. Tony retired from teaching in 1982 and he and Lynn traveled the country looking for antiques to stock their antique booths. Tony worked with his hands, as seen through the building of his family home in Westport and a lake home. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years in 2010. He is survived by son Chris Daniewicz (Sue) and daughter Debbie Tinnemore (Rod) and granddaughters Tory and Kassia Daniewicz and Anna and Amanda Tinnemore.
