Frances Anderson Tanner passed away peacefully on March 15, 2015, her 92nd birthday. She was born to George Edgar and Frances Anderson in Aberdeen, Wash. She graduated from Weatherwax High School and the University of Oregon with a degree in geology. After college she worked in the anatomy department at Stanford University where she met Donald C. Tanner, the love of her life, then a first year medical student. They married Dec. 27, 1947, and moved to Bellevue, Wash., in 1955 where they lived until Donald’s death in 1999 when she moved to Mercer Island.
