Dennis Robert Colwell passed away at Grays Harbor Community Hospital on May 10, 2014 from complications due to Parkinson’s disease. Dennis was born on Dec. 7, 1942 in Ellensburg, WA to Jess and Inogine Colwell. He graduated from Ellensburg High School in 1961, attended Whitman College, and graduated from the University of Washington in Political Science, where he also acquired his Juris Doctorate degree. Dennis moved to Aberdeen in 1971 where he was employed as Chief Civil Deputy Prosecutor for Grays Harbor County. He married Marilee (Micki) McMonagle in 1972; she passed away in 2001. They had three children: Terri (Bob Mielki), Heather (Eric Mitby) and Rebecca (Jack Carpenter).
