Dale Clarence Lonborg

Dale Clarence Lonborg 82, a lifelong Oakville resident, passed away, February 25, 2014. Dale was born March 3, 1931, in Oakville, to Harry and Mabel (Root) Lonborg. Dale is a graduate of Oakville High School Class of 1949. After high school he served in the U.S. Army in Korea where he received formal training in automotive mechanics. Dale and his father owned and operated “Lonborg Logging” for a while. He later went to work for Washington State Department of Transportation, then the Operating Engineers Local #302 as a heavy equipment operator and then again back with Washington State Department of Transportation eventually retiring in 1992. Dale married his wife of 57 years, Ann Wollen on March 29, 1957, she survives him at the family home. Dale was a member of the Oakville American Legion and the Oakville Grange. He served as Fire Commissioner for the Oakville Fire Department, and was a proud member of the NRA. He loved the outdoors, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, clam-digging and going on long drives.
