Carol Ann Mariano, 64, after a short battle with cancer was called to be with the Lord on August 24, 2012. She passed peacefully at the University of Washington Medical Center surrounded by her family and friends. She is survived by her loving husband and soul mate, Bruce; her four children, Robert (Karla), Heather (Craig), Nikki (Jeremy) and Amy; and her seven grandchildren. Carol was adopted by Stanley (Bud) and Roselie Goedker of Willapa, Wash., where she and her brother, Kenneth spent most of their childhoods. They moved to Aberdeen when she was a teen and graduated from Weatherwax High School in 1966. She met Bruce in 1968, and they married in 1970. They moved to the greater Seattle area where they spent the next 42 years raising their children. Some of her favorite things besides her family were reading, needle point, potlucks and driving around, exploring different places with Bruce.
