John (Junior) Golman, 94, passed away at his home in Cedarville, Wash., on November 16, 2013. Junior was born to John and Grace (Williams) Golman on May 16, 1919, in Aberdeen. He attended Cedarville Elementary School and graduated from Oakville High School in 1937. After graduating, he worked as a logger and then for Boeing in Seattle before joining the Navy during WWII. After the Navy he worked for Shafer Brother’s Logging before going to Grays Harbor Road District where he stayed until his retirement in 1974. He worked as a heavy equipment operator and did the “Dozer” work when the Oakville-Brooklyn road was built in the mid-1950’s.
